All talks take around 80 minutes depending of the audiens. With many questions it might be longer.

I bring my own laptop but need a good digital projector.

Fee: 3500 SEK = 400 Euro + travel expenses.

It´s good if you can organize a few talks to different groups in an area to share the travel cost.

Topics

Learning from the wild
By allowing plants in the garden to have similar growing conditions as in the wild, it can be easy to maintain functional plantings. This talk is about how and why plants have adapted to specific conditions in nature. Illustrated by a mix of photographs from nature and from my own garden; deserts, steppes, forests, alpines and a lot more.

Steppe and meadows
By allowing plants in the garden to have similar growing conditions as in the wild, it can be easy to maintain functional plantings. This talk is about how and why steppe and meadow plants have adapted to their specific conditions in nature. Illustrated by a mix of photographs from nature and from my own garden.

Rockgarden
A talk about the construction, design and culture of rock plants. Rockeries can be built in almost any environment, it’s just a matter of selecting the right plants; anything from desert plants to high alpine plants. Illustrated mainly by photographs from my own garden.

Alpines
A talk about how and why alpine plants have adapted to their specific conditions in nature. Alpine plants often grow under extreme conditions. By attempting to recreate these conditions, it is possible to grow many of the alpine species normally considered hard – or even impossible – to grow. Illustrated by a mix of photographs from nature and from my own garden.

Sowing

From spring flowering bulbs and other early herbs, to the blooming steppe and the lush rugged alpine environments at the height of summer.
